MADISON
Buldoch's Madison Avenue June 28, 1999 - August 23, 2010

Madison was 3 years old when I first met her at Silverwood in 2002. I fell in love with her on the spot, and after I told Bob that we had to move so that we could have her (we were only permitted to have three dogs at our home in Arlington), we moved to Dogmore so that we would be able to adopt her from Rose and Jerry Cunningham. Because they wanted to make sure that Madison was going to a good home, Rose and Jerry drove her all the way down here to Virginia from Ontario, Canada, in the Spring of 2003. Rose told me later that they were prepared to take her back to Canada if they didn't like what they saw! Well, we must have passed muster because they left Madison with us, and she spent the rest of her life with us. Madison became best friends with Stanley - she absolutely adored him. He loved her too, and recognized quickly, however, that she was in charge! Madison was also wonderful with Cricket, and even gained Elliott's trust in the last years of his life.

Madison learned agility very quickly, and although she had only been practicing a short time, I decided to take her to Dallas, Texas to Silverwood 2003 for her first agility trial. The two of us drove to Dallas accompanied by my friend Jane Killion, and her dog, Ruby. Madison stole the show, as evidenced by the video below.

Madison was a very special part of our lives, and we miss her terribly. Thank you, Rose and Jerry, for letting her come and live with us.
